New Year Update

We thought we might start the year with some recent project images, featuring CLINGZ, ADTAC, FABRIC and even professionally applied cut vinyl for a short term application.  We always recommend the best product for the application, so if you ever have any questions or an upcoming project then please get in touch.

CIPP 25 used ADTAC for quick transition branding between events held in the daytime and evening.  ADTAC applies quickly without bubbles and removes without residue!

Another takeover at Manchester Social, this time from HERA.  Cut vinyl applied to windows and walls gives that clean finish that looks permanent, but with the right materials and installation can be applied and removed without damage.

And… congratulations to Sinners, who at the time of writing this just received a record number of Oscar nominations.  We produced the FABRIC backdrop below for Warner Brothers last year.  Our FABRIC frames are perfect for large backdrops like this.  Get in touch to find out more.

Lets talk about STX

All our materials are unique and have special qualities, but some are more low-key. This is a quickish explanation about the joys of STX.

STX is a self-adhesive vinyl (also known as a plastic sticker). It is available in white, which functions like a typical sticker or label, but also Clear too! STX has a premium feel and a removable adhesive, so will not leave any mess behind when removed. STX is special because it is HP Indigo certified, and this is special because it adds value! HP Indigo printing is digital, so you can print multiple kinds or sequential numbers at minimal extra cost. This makes STX perfect for Parking Permits, or Certifications, or Codes (Bar and QR)

HP Indigo Digital print is incredible quality, uses white ink for special effects or opacity, and has low setup costs. Short-runs, variable data or different designs. Can be cut to shape or kiss-cut on sheets too!

Here are some examples of Clear and/or STX projects in situ:

Lets be Clear!

We have other Clear materials too. We normally recommend these based on certain questions, like: How long will it be in place? Who is installing these? What does the design look like? etc.

Below is a summary of each our materials that are available in clear, and why we might suggest them…

CLINGZ

Short term applications on walls and doors where you require transparent areas, or windows facing inside or out. CLINGZ is the easiest and quickest material to install, perfect for quick turnarounds.

ADTAC

Best for inexperienced installers because it is super easy and if you make a mistake you can try again. Looks best with a flood white backup, because the transparent areas aren’t super clear. Some people like this effect and we have plenty of examples with transparent areas within the design for you to test out.

SKINZ

Best for achieving intricate cut out effects because the spaces are optically clear. SKINZ will remain in place for longer periods of time too, so perfect for longer seasonal window displays.

VIEW

This is a self-cling, or static-cling-vinyl, also certified to print HP Indigo. This zero adhesive option adheres to glossy surfaces and can also be printed with unique information and different designs inexpensively. We have plenty of samples we are happy to send out, so you can test their different qualities in situ.

20 Years of CLINGZ

This year is the company’s 20th Anniversary, which means we have been providing CLINGZ for two decades!  Exclusively supplying CLINGZ to the UK was how the company started, in fact Think Ambient was initially called “All Things Cling”.  The name became Think Ambient because of the initial applications for the CLINGZ.  Brands and media agencies used CLINGZ for out-of-home  “ambient media” applications, including Guerrilla Marketing for drinks brands and more traditional “poster” spots.  Over the years we have been lucky enough to see lots of great project examples.  Below are some of the historical examples we have pictures for:

Ambient Media

CLINGZ have been used to launch new TV shows like Dexter and promote unheralded music artists like Lady Gaga.  They have also been used to highlight positive social messages and raise awareness about a variety of medical issues.

Retail and Point of Sale

The next obvious application for CLINGZ was in short term retail promotions.  CLINGZ can be applied to a multitude of different surfaces including expensive items like TVs and Cars, and are perfect for POS packs.  Alcohol brands found that compliance was higher in the pubs with CLINGZ than traditional posters.  In beer brand bingo we have a CLINGZ for every taste, from Guinness to Becks, Tiger to Tsingtao, and a couple of Crabbies too.

Events and Exhibitions

Every week we provide CLINGZ for Events and Exhibitions throughout the country, and the range of applications keeps growing.  Recently we have made mirrors look antique and covered up walls for TV production companies.  Over the years CLINGZ have helped launch Cruise ships and brand premier league player’s birthday parties.  CLINGZ is perfect because it is so easy to apply, even in large sizes.

The Others

One of the largest volume applications for CLINGZ is direct mail, as a magazine insert or postal mailing.  These have advertised cars, raised awareness of health-related issues and shown people how to separate their recycling.

There are too many weird and wonderful applications to mention, like neon CLINGZ tickets adorning men in mankinis, and others we don’t have pictures for.

To be continued...

Every year people discover new applications for CLINGZ so we try to keep our website and social media updated.  In 20 years from now, when we finally have the hover boards we were promised in Back to the Future, I’m sure there will have been several new and exciting CLINGZ applications.  Over the years we were asked for many applications CLINGZ simply were not suitable for, such as double sided opaque POS (for which we created VIBO) and floor CLINGZ (SKINZ FLOOR), so we will continue making the products that provide you solutions!

Kieran Storey: Favourite Things

Kieran is our most recent employee, he started in February this year and has been busy learning about all our different products and their special abilities.  We asked him about his favourite and why:

FAVOURITE PRODUCT

SKINZ – This material is great because it has no adhesive but sticks fantastically well to smooth surfaces. It can be applied outdoors if required, as it isn’t affected by the wind or rain.  There is also a blockout OPAQUE version which is used by electronics companies on screens, or to cover up existing graphics.

The extra grip-strength of SKINZ means it can take being laminated, which increases the types of applications and effects.

Gloss Laminate – creates a white board effect
Matt Laminate – protects the ink from scratching and gives a premium look and feel
Anti Slip Laminate – This means it can be applied to floors without fear of slipping.  SKINZ FLOOR has been applied where floor graphics have not previously been allowed and installed easily by store or event staff.

CLEAR SKINZ – The clear version works slightly differently but has the same high-grip zero-sticky principle, and the amazing aspect is that it’s optically clear!  For window displays this means elaborate designs can be applied with clear spaces that look just like the window.

We have so many great samples I’ve been testing that we can post out if you want to try.

Hotel branding – A Luxury Suite of Exclusive Products

Whether you need hotel branding for an event, permanent display or employee engagement, we have the perfect solution.  We have been working with hotels and event venues all over the world for the last 20 years, providing them and their guests with our unique products and exceptional services.  Whether that is for an event at Westminster Park Plaza, in room signage at Marriott Hotels or a custom large format lenticular transported to a German hotel’s foyer.   Below is a selection of images from hotel branding and event projects.

EVENTS & EXHIBITIONS – Ideal for short-run and large-format applications, CLINGS can be printed up to 1.3m wide, by any length and then ‘tiled’ to create much larger displays. CLINGS have been used to transform hotels, museums and conference centres without the need for expert installation teams.  Staff love how easily they apply!!

CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT – CLINGS are perfect for use in hotel rooms because they can be applied to whatever surface creates the most impact!  Hotels have used our products to engage with guests and offer links to online activities.  easyHotel designed selfie-CLINGS and used QR codes and hashtags to create online engagement.

HOTEL BRANDING AND DECORATION – We have longer lasting products too that have dressed windows at Renaissance Manchester and branded elevator doors at Birmingham Hilton.

SITE SURVEYS & INSTALLATIONS – We can survey areas suitable for branding and suggest the ideal product or material for the job.  We also have nationwide teams of professional installers where required. We can measure up, resize artwork and create bespoke branding guides.  Some hotels pass on these guides to visiting Event organisers.

BESPOKE BUILDS AND SPECIAL PROJECTS – We enjoy creating new products and specials builds based on the specific needs of a project.  Whether that is free-standing displays that need to be erected on site, or fabric media that requires fixed installation at the venue we are happy to help.

Below is an example of a custom build for an event at a hotel in Germany.  This was built on site from flat-pack so we took it with us rather than risking shipping to local installer.  You can see more images and find out more here.

We were challenged to create two images that swap as your point of view changes.  Like a 3D “flip” lenticular but a much bigger scale.  This 3D image flip display was being used at a conference overseas so it had to be packed flat, then assembled on site.

This challenge gave us the opportunity to create a template for this type of large format lenticular display.   We tested the application in our office, and created a guide during the design process.  By breaking down the two images into sections we created this clever print solution.  This specific application used flat colour backgrounds and text but would work for more complex designs and images too.

A great example of how we used multiple products in one project was when we were asked to provide a variety of printed graphics for the Open Text Innovation Tour at the O2 Intercontinental Hotel in London. The graphics were to be used on numerous different surfaces including walls, windows, lift doors, wooden doors, escalators and floors. The Hotel Branding needed to be easy to apply and easy to remove at the end of the event, as well as 100% damage free.

CLINGZ – extremely easy to apply and is one of the most versatile print products as it can stick to a wide variety of surfaces without tape, tacks or adhesives. CLINGZ was used on the walls and windows.

PHLEX – used on the lift doors, wooden doors and inside the lifts at the event, where higher adhesion qualities were required due to the constant opening and closing of the doors throughout the day by visitors. PHLEX has a special adhesive to keep it in place, but it is completely damage free on removal.

Ultra Clear SKINZ – recommended for use on the glass mezzanine and on the glass escalator panels. SKINZ is made from a unique substrate that literally ‘sucks’ on to smooth surfaces, it is easy to use and damage free.

Floor SKINZ – used for branding the tiled floors of the event. They have an anti-slip laminate for grip.

“I worked personally with Think Ambient from the start of my project right to the end. Throughout, Think Ambient were exceptionally diligent and patient with our demands and changes and always with a pleasant manner and sense of humour. Our success was always at the forefront of Think Ambients’ delivery.”

Sticky and Tricky: fret cut vinyl, frames and fixings

Did you know that we can install long-term and permanent displays, like fret cut vinyl or frames for fabric displays and lightboxes?  Our core products have always been damage-free materials, which are easy to apply and do not leave any sticky residue when removed.  Materials such as CLINGS and ADTAC are so easy to install that most people do it themselves, and then remove a few days later with no fuss.

We do however often get asked for solutions that require something more long lasting and so we have built up a range of solutions that… require fixings, can be tricky to install, and are not so easy to remove!

Below are some examples:

FRET CUT VINYL

This needs to have a strong adhesive to apply properly.  It comes on release paper so the design needs to grip better to the surface than the application tape.  It can be fiddly, and if you apply it wrong then it is often easier to start anew. When applied properly it looks tremendous! We have professional installation teams that apply these easily, so you don’t have to fret!  Below are some pictures from a recent retail example:

LIGHT-BOXES & FABRIC FRAMES

These need to be installed professionally once, then you or your staff can apply any replacement graphics easily yourselves. They look spectacular and ensure consistency and continuity. We can fix these into walls, or in windows and we even have free standing structures for use at events!

OUTDOORS AND CONCRETE FLOORS

We have many solutions for outdoor signage, like FABRIC flags, Eyeletted banners or high footfall floor graphics made from aluminium! We tend to provide these in response to specific requests, but we have plenty of example images, so please get in touch to find out more.

Perfect Postable Products

Our perfect postable products have been sent out by Retailers, FMCG brands, Emergency Services, Charities, Local Authorities and Agencies for a variety of reasons.  More than likely you will have received a sample pack of CLINGS at some point during the last 20 years, as that is the way we like to introduce ourselves.

CLINGS are perfect for posting, as they can be placed anywhere around your home, shop or office desk, such as on a glass partition, a plaster wall or even on the coffee machine!!!  We love sending people our other materials too, like ADTAC or SKINZ, depending on the application you have in mind. Testing larger ADTAC samples on your windows demonstrates their ease of application or using SKINZ FLOOR on your flooring enables you to be sure it grips and doesn’t peel off.   Below are some examples of how Product, Place and Purpose combine:

CLINGS

County Council Waste Schedules. Do you know where your waste guide is? Me neither, but I have a Cheshire West and Chester Council CLINGS sample stuck to my fridge.

“Initially we had planned to either include a fridge magnet in the pack or attach a strip to the top. It was at this point that I discovered CLINGS which offered the perfect solution for the quick start guide. They offered residents greater flexibility and were comparable in price to a magnetic alternative. When focus groups tested the CLINGS they received universal praise when compared to all other options.”  Cheshire West and Chester Council

SKINZ

We often send out POS packs for electrical goods for use on soundbars, TVs, and Microwaves; SKINZ works perfectly on smooth surfaces. Easy to apply and damage free. We can even add a non-slip laminate to create our adhesive-free floor graphic!

ADTAC

Police and Local Authorities have used ADTAC for neighbourhood-watch-type applications. ADTAC applies perfectly flat without bubbles, so it is ideal for people applying to dry windows. You can even remove and replace when you need to clean the glass, and it won’t leave any residue. All this helps to increase compliance.

GRIP

Charity fundraising packs are the perfect mailer. Everybody loves a balloon or badge, but there is only so much information you can cram onto a button. GRIP has been used to display helpful information to people where they might need it most, like in their showers! GRIP is waterproof and adheres to smooth surfaces for long periods without causing damage or leaving residue. We have plenty of samples, so please ask if you want to know how to properly “Check your chest”!

The Opportunity for Commercial Waste Recycling: A Legal and Sustainable Imperative

In today’s environmentally conscious business landscape, effective waste management is no longer just a strategic opportunity; it’s a legal and sustainable imperative. Businesses have a legal obligation to ensure that their waste is removed and recycled responsibly. By optimising robust recycling practices, commercial businesses like retailers can significantly reduce their environmental footprint, increasing recycling rates, lower operational costs, decrease landfill and fulfil their regulatory obligations.

Understanding the Three Primary Waste Streams – To maximize recycling efforts, it’s essential to understand the three primary waste streams typically found in commercial and retail settings:

1. Paper & Cardboard: This category encompasses a wide range of paper-based materials, including all forms of printed marketing activations, cardboard boxes, price tickets, hanging or header panels and window posters or graphics. By segregating these items, commercial businesses can significantly increase the volume of recyclable materials. The chance here is you will achieve a 100% recycling rate with these types of materials.

2. Mixed Recycling: This stream includes a diverse range of recyclable materials such as plastic based marketing activation, multi-material displays, and certain types of plastic packaging. Proper sorting and cleaning of these materials are crucial for efficient segregating & effective recycling. This is slightly more complex, but you are giving the material every chance to be successfully recycled.

3. General Waste: This category is reserved for non-recyclable materials that cannot be processed or reused, multi-materials marketing activations and certain types of more complex plastics. Unfortunately, these materials are destined for landfill at worst or incineration at best.

The Power of Simplified Material Streams and Staff Education

To achieve optimal recycling rates, businesses should focus on two key strategies:

· Simplified Material Streams: By limiting the number of waste bins and clearly labelling each one, businesses can reduce confusion and encourage effective waste recycling. A streamlined approach makes it easier for employees to identify the correct recycling bin for each material type.

· Staff Education and Training: Regular training sessions can significantly improve recycling rates. By educating employees about the importance of recycling, the types of materials that can be recycled, and the proper disposal techniques, businesses can empower their workforce to make informed choices.

By implementing these strategies, commercial and retail premises can not only reduce their environmental impact but also lower their landfill costs & increase their recycling rates.

Remember, responsible waste management is not just a choice; it’s a legal obligation. By understanding the three primary waste streams and implementing effective recycling practices, businesses can contribute to a more sustainable future.

Castle Fine Art: A carefully curated collection of display graphics

We provide a variety of display graphics for special events.  All our materials have been tested on the different surfaces within their galleries, and several locations have been surveyed to determine what materials work best, plus whether they can be installed themselves and what will make the most impact.

A recent project we did was for a Steve Winterburn launch, which proves the perfect example.  A combination of EPIC, ADTAC, EASIFLOOR, Fret-cut vinyl and lightbox FABRIC were used to create this incredible display. Large wall displays, tiled together from several overlapping drops, often require professional installation but Castle Fine Art regularly install displays themselves and replace their lightbox material.

The artwork can define the material too.  Some window displays for example have lots of transparent sections, so we use an optically clear material like SKINZ.  Below are some examples of different Castle Fine Art displays using a variety of our materials.

For more details on which materials we have used, or to request free samples of any of our materials please get in touch

East of England Co-op: Seasonal display graphics made easy with ADTAC and EPIC!

This summer over 120 East of England Co-op stores received summer sticker kits, including special event designs for Euros and Wimbledon.

There were two main areas highlighted for stickers were the fridges and wall spaces. So, for this specific application we recommended a mix of products; ADTAC for the glass surfaces and EPIC for the walls. ADTAC is perfect on smooth surfaces and not effected by changing temperatures, whilst EPIC has an ultra-low tack adhesive making it ideal for medium term wall applications. Both are super-easy to install without bubbles and remove without damage or mess.

We collated each pack of 38 designs ready to be sent out to stores along with other items. Each store has a slightly different layout and features, some with more blank wall space than others for example, so stores had the flexibility to put the kits up where they felt best while following guidance put together by their marketing team. The feedback we received was that store staff were able to put them up easily despite never using the materials before.

Please get in touch if you would like to see more examples of seasonal display graphics, or if you would like is to post you some samples of ADTAC or EPIC.

Think Ambient Sustainable Print Materials: A Conscious Choice

In today’s sustainability conscious world, businesses are increasingly seeking ways to reduce their environmental impact. This extends to every facet of operations, including marketing and print materials.  At the heart of effective, sustainable marketing lies the informed choice of sustainable print materials.

The Think Ambient range of print materials offers comprehensive solutions for businesses committed to reducing their environmental footprint. We understand the complex interplay between aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability, and have carefully curated a selection of products that balance these key factors.

A cornerstone of our range is a strong emphasis on non-PVC materials.  PVC is often found in print products, but due to its environmental impact, we have made a conscious decision to minimize its use.  In fact, between 2021-2023 over 95% of our materials sales were PVC free*.  So, we are continuing to provide clients with a wide variety of options without compromising on quality or design.

Beyond PVC, we have delved deeper into the material composition of our products, face films made from Polyester (PE), Polypropylene (PP) and non-siliconized, fiber-based liners which are 100% recyclable, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional options. This attention to detail ensures that our materials not only reduce environmental impact during production but also at the end of their marketing life cycle.

We recognize that while PVC-free options are a significant step forward, complete elimination may not always be feasible. Therefore, we have included a small selection of PVC products in our range. Our aim is to provide transparency and enable clients to make informed decisions based on their specific needs and priorities.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond material selection. We have meticulously designed our products to be easily recyclable within both the print supply chain and at retail outlets for example. This ensures that our materials do not contribute to waste and can be given a new life through recycling processes.

We are proud to offer a range of print materials that empower businesses to make conscious choices. By providing a comprehensive understanding of the environmental impact of different materials, we enable our clients to select products that align with their sustainability goals.

Our journey towards a fully sustainable product range is ongoing. We are actively researching and sourcing new materials that offer enhanced environmental performance without compromising on quality or functionality. Our goal is to continuously expand our non-PVC options and provide our clients with an ever-growing selection of eco-friendly print materials.

By choosing our sustainable print materials, businesses can not only reduce their environmental impact but also demonstrate their commitment to corporate social responsibility. Together, we can create a more sustainable future through informed and conscious choices.

*this figure is based on the percentage of total material sales 2021-2023.  Some of these materials are fully recyclable whilst others can be part recycled. For more information about which products can be recycled and how, take a look at our product review.

Recycling Made Easy by Think Ambient

To ensure our materials are effectively recycled at the end of their lifecycle, we have conducted extensive research in collaboration with U.K. waste recyclers.  We have delved into the complexities of waste management within our clients’ businesses and back of store retail environments, identifying key challenges and opportunities for Think Ambient materials, Recycling Made Easy.

Through these key partnerships, we have gained a comprehensive understanding of waste streams and commercial recycling processes. This knowledge empowers us to provide clear guidance to our clients on the correct disposal of our printed materials.

We can confidently advise whether our products should be placed in Paper & Cardboard, Mixed Recycling, or General Waste bins. By simplifying recycling instructions & enhancing their knowledge, we aim to reduce waste contamination and significantly increase recycling rates for our clients. This commitment to post-consumer waste management reinforces our dedication to creating a circular economy.

Sustainable Print Journey: Part 1

The Think Ambient sustainable print journey begins……  We are working with renowned Sustainability expert Steve Lister to complete a comprehensive, 360 degree review.  We will focus on the entire range of materials we distribute, how they compare to other industry print materials and also our operational practices.  Once we have completed this review process we will publish a full overview, so please watch this space for further information about our sustainable print journey.

Our collaboration is driven by our desire to meet the increasing demands of key stakeholders within global brands & retailers about the sustainability credentials and end-of-life recycling of the Think Ambient range.

The current Think Ambient range are manufactured using a variety of plastics, Polyester (PE & PET), Polypropylene (PP) and PVC with both siliconized & non siliconized liners to enhance the recyclability at the end of their life. The review process will enable us to create a sustainability guide to our materials, clearly communicating what materials the face films & liners are made from, plus clear recycling instructions.

Our sustainability review process has also started to look at the whole journey, from production to implementation and at the end of campaign removal.

From initial discussions with clients they highlight the huge sustainability benefits of time savings provided by the Think Ambient range, being perfect for non-skilled application.  They are designed for increased speed of installation & removal, which decreases the need for specialist applications teams.  The environmental impact of specialist installation teams’ travelling to complete these tasks is also an important factor.

We will keep you updated as we progress on our sustainability journey!

A great example by Castle Fine Art

Think Ambient ADTAC printed window graphics were shipped direct to the stores so that the individual retail locations could install them onto the windows with no specialist installation teams required!

ADTAC is a PVC FREE face film which makes it a sustainable alternative to standard self adhesive vinyl and it is available on a non siliconised liner which means both parts are 100% recyclable.

The fact that it can be self installed also means a reduction in CO2 (and cost) as installation teams are no longer required.

ADTAC Sustainable Print Alternative

Event Example: GAFTA

Big thank you to GAFTA for sending us this image of their recent CLINGZ display. This one was 2m tall by over 6m wide, and expertly installed by their team on site.

CLINGZ is event branding that you could carry with you, then roll back up after the event is over. CLINGZ is PVC-free, with the printed side made from PP on a PET liner.

Retail Example: Flannels

Sustainability is clear to see with Flannels window graphics!

Incredibly easy to install as they are designed for non-skilled application, clean removal and 100% recyclable at the end for the campaign at the back of store, this is why Flannels uses ADTAC, a sustainable solution that works!

There are huge benefits for Flannels, increases the speed of application & installation, increases sustainability commitments to move away from PVC, decreases time to remove as the no adhesive to remove, easy for all store team members to remove, no need for expensive removal & cleaning by merchandising companies and increases recycling rates at the back of store.

Find out more about why Retailers love ADTAC…….PVC Free, PE (polyester) printable facefilm with 100% recyclable liner……non siliconised!

Flawless Floor Graphics

A Guide to Floor Graphics, Media and Applications

We have a variety of exclusive and unique Floor Graphics materials that we like to use.  The selection process is based on all kinds of factors, like the size of the display, the surface they will be placed on, who is installing them, and environmental factors like the footfall and longevity.  It is best to speak to us about all these matters before deciding, but below is a summary of our key materials, their superpowers, and where best to apply them.

EASIFLOOR

EASIFLOOR is an adhesive floor graphic, suitable for applying to a wide range of floor surfaces, even carpets. It is easy to apply and remove without leaving any residue and has an anti-slip laminate for additional safety.

 – Easy to apply and remove
 – R10 Anti-slip rating – no additional laminate required
 – Damage free on removal
 – Bubble free
 – Can be applied to floors and all smooth surfaces, even carpet

SKINZFLOOR

SKINZ FLOOR is incredibly unique!  A totally adhesive free substrate that literally ‘sucks’ on to smooth floors, whilst remaining removable and repositionable. It is perfect for short term floor use where low to medium footfall is expected. SKINZ FLOOR has an anti-slip laminate for additional safety.

 – Unique micro-suction technology
 – Anti-slip laminate
 – Sticks to smooth floors without the need for tape, tacks or adhesive
 – Removable and repositionable
 – Damage free on removal
 – Moisture resistant

EASIFLOOR EXTRA

EASIFLOOR Extra is our unique floor graphic, suitable for applying to all indoor smooth hard floors and low-pile carpets. It is easy to apply and remove, with an ultra-tough polyester base which means it does not shrink or tear. EASIFLOOR Extra has an anti-slip textured surface which eliminates the need for an additional coating.

 – Can be applied to all smooth hard-floors and low-pile carpets
 – Easy to apply and remove
 – Indoor use
 – R10 Anti-slip rating – no additional laminate required
 – Will not shrink or tear
 – Ultra-tough polyester base with no stretch

FLOORMATZ

FLOORMATZ is a spongy material without adhesive that can be installed on floors by professionals to create enormous displays, like the map example here.

Tiling together large self-adhesive materials can be tricky so for this project we opted to adhere the material to the floor using tape, once we had lined up the sections.

This was for an event so only needed to be in place during the day and then it could be removed without causing any damage once the event had concluded.

Floormatz Floor Graphics

BESPOKE AND THE TOUGH STUFF

We have produced floor graphics for outdoor use in the past, which were made from a malleable metallic material designed specifically for asphalt, concrete and brick type surfaces.  This material has a slip rating of R12, with a strong adhesive and whilst it will remove without causing damage it can “clean” the surface and if left in place for a long period it can protect the surface from the elements leaving it cleaner than the surrounding areas.  It is always best to speak to us early in the process and we can advise the best materials possible and highlight any potential issues.

Come together. branding offices

We helped a local company called Together with their 50th Year Anniversary campaign by adding themed branding to their offices.

We installed various media on different surfaces throughout their offices, including their outside windows, internal glass balconies, lifts, doors and walls.

For the larger wall displays, doors and lifts we used our fabric wallpaper product PHLEX. PHLEX is easy to install, it can be tiled together and cut where required to accommodate plug sockets and switches. As the items were being professionally installed we also used  self-adhesive vinyl and fret cut vinyls, which can be more fiddly to apply but help to create maximum impact.  In addition we used our new and exclusive GRIP material on smooth surfaces for a long lasting and perfect finish, and to complete the transformation we supplied free standing displays too.

“A massive shout out to Think Ambient and Will Harris for weaving their magic and bringing the campaign to life for our colleagues internally with some incredible vinyls. I can’t wait to see the reactions and watch the impact unfold in our exclusive screenings later on this week.”

Vicki: Favourite Things

Vicki has been part of Think Ambient from the very beginning, so we asked her for some highlights…

Favourite Product

CLINGZ – it’s the product that the company was founded on and definitely has the biggest wow factor!

Favourite Project

I love all the guerrilla marketing projects that we have worked on over the years. A particularly memorable one is when we used a GLOW-IN-THE -DARK ink for Converse, so that the CLINGZ literally lit up at night.

Favourite Think Ambient Moment

I always enjoy working at the trade shows, it is so great to see visitors’ reactions to CLINGZ when they have never seen them before. I never get tired of that….particularly when we show them that the backdrop is all CLINGZ too.

ADTAC and Here Before Us: History in the making

It is always a great feeling when a product application perfectly fits the customer needs.  It is an even better feeling when that application has such beautiful sentiment.  Here Before Us use ADTAC for the basis of their product, and the customer feedback that get is exceptional!!!

What is Here Before Us?  You may have seen blue plaques on buildings marking famous previous residents, including the former homes of Mozart, David Bowie and Jane Austen for example.  Here Before Us produce individually customized blue plaques that commemorate the previous residents of your home – sometimes less celebrated or even forgotten residents who may nonetheless have had interesting lives and occupations.

These Blue Plaques are typically used in windows facing out and are applied by the residents themselves.  ADTAC applies bubble free on dry windows and can be repositioned, should you accidentally apply them upside down.

Launched in 2021, there are now more than 350 plaques in 65 towns and cities in England, Wales and Scotland.  These people have been installing ADTAC effortlessly in their homes, and the great thing is… they often film it.
